Common questions
Can I donate instruments instead of money?
Absolutely. Donated instruments are the heart of what we do. We accept guitars, basses, drums, cymbals, keyboards, synths, amps, speakers, microphones and recording gear, in most conditions. Contact us and we will arrange the handover.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Not at this stage. Amplify Schools does not currently have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, so donations are not tax deductible. We will update this page if that changes.
How is my donation used?
Money goes into parts, strings, hardware and workshop time to refurbish donated instruments, and into delivering them to school music programs. We keep overheads low so your gift lands in a music room.
Can I cancel or change a monthly donation?
Yes, at any time. Use the link in your donation receipt email, or contact us and we will change or cancel it for you straight away.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes. For bank transfers, include your name as the payment reference and email us so we know where to send your receipt. Please note that receipts are not currently tax deductible.
